Afflicted Mizutsune is an A5 monster in Rise sunbreak. When you start an A5 quest, you’ll notice something: *The health upgrade* . Every monster starting from A5 will be a Lv82 or plus monster (instead of Lv32+). So they’ll take more hits to go down.
Afflicted Mizutsune (or accursed as i love to call it) will sometimes spawn in zone 13 (which is the fastest way to start this hunt). His roar can be tricky to counter (strongarm TCS) because it tends to move its head either to the right or left. You wanna be close of him when you counter its roar but it won’t guarantee you’ll hit (it’s a gamble depending on his upcoming attack).
The hunt begins in the Shrine ruins (the worst map of the game in term of endemic life and map size). Magnamalo will always be your second monster and you will either have for your third choice: Rathian, Zinogre or Lunagaron.
If you get Zinogre, you will probably get a turf war which will deal 2500K to Mizutsune. Rathian and Lunagaron are both good monsters to ride on. However, Lunagaron is a bit tricky because you need to put the downed monster in a corner if you want Luna to land his 4 hits combo.
